More than one crore central employees and pensioners of the country have started getting their rising inflation allowance. The central government has increased the inflation allowance and inflation relief from 17 per cent to 28 per cent. The salaries of central employees will see a direct rise of 11 per cent.
When the central government makes any change in the inflation allowance, the state government after the central employees also applies it in their own state. Some states have implemented this rising inflation allowance while others are preparing to implement it.
The country's largest administration has sent a proposal to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for approval to provide 28 per cent inflation allowance and relief to its employees and pensioners from July 1. After the seal of the Chief Minister, the employees will start getting expensive allowances. The state government's decision will benefit 16 lakh government employees and 12 lakh pensioners.
