GUJCET Result 2020: The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSEB) will declare the GUJCET result 2020. GUJCET 2020 exam will be conducted for the admissions to Engineering and Pharmacy programmes offered by various institutes in the state of Gujarat. The result of GUJCET 2020 will be declared on the official website of GSEB. Candidates will be required to login to the official website and provide their user credentials to check their GUJCET 2020 result. It is, however, important to note that the role of GSEB ends with the declaration of result. The remaining part of the admission process, including counselling and seat allotment will instead be conducted by Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC).

  • After the announcement of GUJCET 2020 result by GSEB, the rest of the processes are conducted by the ACPC. The authorities will release the merit list in online mode tentatively in second week of June. The following factors are taken into account while preparation of the GUJCET 2020 merit list.
  • 60% of weightage will be given to percentile marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics
  • 40% weightage to the percentile marks obtained in entrance exam.
  • Authorities will two merit lists for GUJCET Result 2020. The provisional merit list will be released first followed by the final one. In order to check the merit list candidates will have to enter GUJCET 2020 Roll No/User ID and course. In case candidates find any discrepancies in the provisional merit list, they can raise the objection against it. On receiving the feedback, authorities will release the final merit list of GUJCET 2020. 
  • The cutoff of GUJCET 2020 will be the closing ranks below which admission will not offered to the candidates. The cut off will vary for different categories of the candidates, institute and the engineering branch. From the perspective of GUJCET 2020 cut off, candidates will have to secure a rank which is either equal to or above the mentioned cut off rank.

GUJCET Result 2020: What next?

ACPC will conduct the GUJCET 2020 counselling and admission process. The counselling for GUJCET 2020 will comprise both online and offline processes. Candidates will be required to register in order to participate in the counselling of GUJCET 2020.

GUJCET 2020 Counselling Procedure
Candidates will have to first visit the designated branches of Kotak Mahindra Bank to purchase the information booklet and 14 digit PIN number.
Next they are required to pay the requisite registration fee to participate in counselling of GUJCET 2020.
Once candidates are able to access the 14 digit PIN number the next step is filling up the counselling form.
Candidates must fill the application form for counselling of GUJCET 2020 and submit it.

ACPC will also set up GUJCET 2020 help centres for the assistance of the candidates. At the help centre candidates will have to go along with the submitted application form print out and other requisite documents for verification. Based on the preference, merit and availability of seat, allotment will be done. 

About GSEB & GUJCET

The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board is also known as GSEB and it is a government of Gujarat body responsible for determining the policy-related, administrative, cognitive, and academic direction the state's higher learning system takes. The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board were recognized on 1 May 1960.

The Gujarat Common Entrance Test, popularly known as GUJCET, is conducted by the GSEB Board. GUJCET 2018 will test the candidates and shortlist them for admission to engineering, degree and diploma pharmacy courses for non-medical (Group A) and medical (Group B) and both group AB students. The exam would be based upon the third and fourth-semester curriculum followed by the Gujarat Board for Class 12 Board Exams. The multiple-choice option based exam would consist of questions from chemistry, physics, biology, and mathematics. GUJCET examination is the gateway for the admissions to all Government, Grant-in-aid and self-financed institutes in Gujarat under Government quota seats and Management quota.
